The usual assumption is that Cain and Abel married their sisters. Later this was forbidden by the Old Testament, but was necessary at the beginning of the human race. You can read it in the fourth chapter of Genesis. Heartless and totally wrapped up in himself, Cain became the ancestor of all those through the ages who have lived by violence instead of brotherly love. The story of Cain and Abel, however, points to an even greater truth — and that is the reality of human sin.

What does the Bible say about? The days of Adam after he fathered Seth were years; and he had other sons and daughters. This is the book of the generations of Adam. When God created man, he made him in the likeness of God. Male and female he created them, and he blessed them and named them Man when they were created. When Adam had lived years, he fathered a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth. Thus all the days that Adam lived were years, and he died.
Genesis tells us that God removed Adam and Eve from the garden of Eden after they sinned. So He drove the man out; and at the east of the garden of Eden He stationed the cherubim, and the flaming sword which turned every direction, to guard the way to the tree of life. After they left, God set a cherubim to keep them from coming back.

Adam and Eve , according to the creation myth of the Abrahamic religions , were the first man and woman. They are central to the belief that humanity is in essence a single family, with everyone descended from a single pair of original ancestors. In the Book of Genesis of the Hebrew Bible , chapters one through five, there are two creation narratives with two distinct perspectives. In the first, Adam and Eve are not named. Instead, God created humankind in God's image and instructed them to multiply and to be stewards over everything else that God had made.
Print The early chapters of Genesis are concerned with the origin of the Earth and all life, including man. This same passage also tells us that Adam lived for years [Genesis ]. However, accepting that Adam, and likely Eve, lived for years, seven children would be the minimum number, but does this seem reasonable? With the exception of Enoch, all of these pre-flood descendants of Adam lived a minimum of years, while most were over years. But is this really a credible number? Living over years means living ten times longer than we do today. Proportionately, the female period of fecundity — today 30 to 35 years — would then be about years.
