The Book of Revelation outlines the final showdown between God himself and his adversary Satan, in the final days of mankind. The scripture touches upon the outbreak of Armageddon, the Four Riders of the Apocalypse, the rise of the Antichrist and the seven-headed Beast whose number is Because of its dire themes, cryptic messages and prophecies of doom, the Book of Revelation has both baffled and amazed devout Christians for centuries. Penned by the anonymous Prophet John, the scripture is named after the very first world of the book — apokalypsis, which is Greek for revelation or unveiling. Although the Book of Revelation addresses the Christian Church of the time when it was written, towards the end of the first century AD, some of its passages are timeless enough to be applied today. According to the book, Satan will rise in power against the throne of God during a time of increased Christian persecution, death and misery. The two powers will clash, laying waste to the Earth and the wicked alike — an event called by some the Great Tribulation.

The prophecies of the Book of Revelation are among the most important parts of the Bible, and understanding these words is a crucial component of understanding how the end times will unfold. Most importantly, the end time revelations that are uncovered in Revelation show us that the end time is not a one-time event that destroys the planet in one fell swoop. A set series of events have been prophesied, which we can anticipate to occur imminently as we now have a clear picture of the end times. One of the most distinguishing end time revelations that has been revealed to us through the Book of Revelation is that many different events will be occurring over a relatively short period of time. The Seven Seals described in Revelation is the longest story of the end times — a series of disastrous events occurring with major impact on the world stage. The text also helps to understand when the opening of the seals will happen in our time, with the Great Tribulation happening between the opening of the sixth and seventh seals. The Seven Trumpets are sounded well into when the seals have been opened — but what many people do not realize is that five of the seven trumpets have already sounded.

And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw. The book of Revelation—a revealing of the future—is history written in advance. Carefully read and study Revelation Revelation 2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given to him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. And I beheld, and see a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And power was given to them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

The End Time in the Book of Revelation

Understanding the Book of Revelation

The Book of Revelation: The End of the World or Heaven on Earth?

Revelation is the dramatization of the unveiling of Jesus Christ. It records the events that are currently leading up to the second coming of our Lord and Savior back to this earth. In verse one of chapter 4 we move into the future, the prophetic part of the Book of Revelation. It is not written in chronological order. But it is in an order, just not from front to back. The trumpets are the shorter story ending at the same place. The vials are the very short story, also ending at the Armageddon.

Core values guide us in carrying out our mission and realizing our vision. The Book of Revelation raises questions that many of us would rather not think about: Does hell exist? Will we be separated from the people we know and love when we die? What does the end of the world look like? What if Revelation is not about end times, but rather a guide to how we create heaven on earth, right now?

In the Gospel accounts Jesus gave a brief summary of the events and conditions leading up to His return. But later He filled in many details.
