A Perfect Circle, ‘3 Libras’ – Video of the Day
3 Libras Lyrics: Threw you the obvious / And you flew with it on your back / A name in your recollection / Down, among a million same / Difficult not to feel a little.full what can get
A Perfect Circle have just released their 'Three Sixty' compilation, which showcases the meat of the band's three full-length albums along with a few surprises included as well. One of these tracks is '3 Libras,' a haunting story of feeling overlooked from A Perfect Circle's debut album, 'Mer de Noms. The official music video for '3 Libras' starts in a swanky hotel, beginning to tell the tale of a number of characters. The main protagonist, however, is a young boy with a model ship who passes by Maynard James Keenan , Billy Howerdel and the other members of A Perfect Circle. The lonesome child offers to share his ship with three young girls, and that's where things get weird. We also see both Maynard and the young boy in womb-like structures after the child falls into the water while reaching for his ship. Maynard exits the water, only to quietly march through a masquerade ball.
A name in your recollection, down among a million same. Here I am expecting just a little bit too much from the wounded But I see, see through it all, see through, see you. Oh well, apparently nothing. Apparently nothing, at all. Difficult not to feel a little bit Disappointed and passed over When I look right through, See you naked but oblivious.
Play "Three Libras" on Amazon Music. Wow someone seriously considered 3 Libras was about an orgy! Well it isn't its a song about pain. Maynard worte the song about 9 people that had a birthday around the the same time but only called it 3 Libras so that they could fight it out to figure out who the three were. The song is about having someone in your life that uses you and doesn't really see everything you have to offer and lives off you instead of growing from you. The song is filled with pain and bitterness. It is purely beautiful.
The song was the second single from their debut album Mer de Noms. The song was well received both critically and commercially, with it peaking at number 12 on both the Billboard US Modern Rock and Mainstream Rock charts in As with all of the Mer de Noms album, "3 Libras'" music was written by guitarist Billy Howerdel , while the lyrics were written by vocalist Maynard James Keenan. They were compiled in on the band's remix album Amotion. While much of Mer de Noms sound is identified with a conventional hard rock aesthetic, "3 Libras" sound is primarily driven by acoustic guitar and violin. Several alternate versions the song have very different compositions.
