Open the hood to access the battery. Disconnect the negative cable to isolate the electrical power. Open the driver's side door for more room to remove the ignition switch. The switch is located on the steering column. Unscrew the shroud around the steering column with a Phillips head screwdriver. Pull the shroud out from around the steering column once it is loosened.
