I was glad to see him back, even as a director, because he has a really interesting sense of comedy and comedic timing. When I saw what this episode was going to be about, I thought that he was a perfect choice. I still feel that way. One half of Sam wants to get away from the violence, and the hunting, and settle down. The other half enjoys being with Dean, and the hunting, and protecting people. As such, neither side ever wins, and as such, Sam never has any clarity on what he really wants. Sully thinks that he was wrong about Sam; that Sam was right to choose the path of a hunter, because Sam is a hero.

My heart. Richard Speight Jr. The premise of the whole episode—who would have thought they could sell this? Imaginary friends are real? And perhaps murderous?

Sign in. David Oyelowo Don't Let Go , Selma fills in the blanks on his career, including one credit he wishes he could get a do-over on. Watch now. Title: Just My Imagination 02 Dec Sam is shocked when his imaginary childhood friend, Sully, makes an unexpected appearance. Sam tries to understand why he is seeing Sully now.

Supernatural season 11 episode 8 review: Just My Imagination

Trial & Retribution Season 11, Episode 9-10: Tracks: Part 1-2

Just My Imagination

Supernatural returned this week after a short Thanksgiving break, but there were no signs of the holiday season in this episode. Also, despite reports to the contrary, Sheriff Donna Brianna Buckmaster didn't make an appearance. Instead, we got a very dark, slightly disturbing exploration of childhood and regrets. If this sounds confusing and ridiculous, that's because it is. Sam Winchester Jared Padalecki had his very own zanna as a child: Sully Nate Torrence , a cheerful man with rainbow-striped suspenders.

It also marks the second monster-of-the-week story in a row for the Winchesters. I always love monster-of-the-week stories. They give Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles a chance to show off their wonderful comedic skills and give viewers a good palette cleanse after several heavy episodes. This also marks the directorial debut for Richard Speight Jr. Man…I miss Trickster. What else is a lonely kid to do other than to create a friendship of their own?
